Kochi University (established in 1949) is a national university located on the island of Shikoku, southwestern Japan. We are ranked within the top 101-110th in Japan and 351 — 400th in Asia according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The University has 6 faculties (Science and Technology, Agriculture and Marine Sciences, Humanities and Social Science, Medicine, Education, and Regional Collaboration) with specialisms including research into marine life and environmental protection, and disaster risk management.
