Program Overview:

Okayama University offers a Foundation Course for Post Graduate Studies (known as “Pre-Master Course”) for privately financed students intending to apply for a graduate program at Okayama University. This Course consists of classes to improve students’ Japanese language skills as well as activities to enhance their understanding of specialized fields. Guidance and advice will be provided by academic advisors of both Pre-Master Course and Graduate schools. As a research student of Institute of Global Human Resource Development (IGHRD), the students are expected to improve their knowledge and practical skills for research activities during the course period of six months to one year.
Applicants have eligibility for apply if satisfy all of the following conditions:

  • Persons who do not have Japanese nationality.
  • Those who have graduated from a Japanese university, those who have completed 16 years of school education in a foreign country or those who have completed more than 3 years of bachelor’s degree program and received degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a foreign country.
  • Those who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2 or N1.
