Program Overview:
The University of Tsukuba offers the JapanExpert Program, a 4-year undergraduate degree program, to train international students with a Japanese outlook to further understand Japan’s culture and society, and who hope to find Japan-related employment globally.
Four courses of study are offered: Agricultural Science, Healthcare, Art and Design, and Japanese Language Teacher Training. Each course is designed for Japanese-minded international students to gain expertise and critical thinking skills to solve local and global issues in their chosen specializations along with honing their Japanese language skills for a deeper understanding of Japan’s culture and society. We have eased the Japanese language requirement to students planning to take the university entrance examination under this program. Japanese language training is provided for half a year after enrollment to students.
