University Overview

Wakayama University (WU) is located in Wakayama prefecture which is easy to reach from Osaka as well as Kansai International Airport, one of the major international airports.  WU consists of four faculties: Faculty of Education, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Systems Engineering, and Faculty of Tourism. WU aims to provide students with theoretical as well as practical learning experiences which enable them to prepare for success in competitive job market.  Currently there are around 4,500 students including 140 international students from a wide range of counties enrolled across these faculties and pursuing their studies and dreams.
WU is committed to developing and strengthening internationalization across the university and keen to welcome more international students.
WU has been conducting numerous activities in Uzbekistan for the last couple of years and established three partner institutions in Tashkent and Bukhara to date. WU continues to explore opportunities of collaborative educational and research activities in Uzbekistan.
